North Otago Dispensary is a family owned business by husband and wife Mike and Helen Lucey.  They are only the second owners in almost 100 years.  Previously the building and business was owned by local lodges.

Helen is the sole-charge pharmacist with a team of five highly trained staff members operating under her.  Helen has 10 years pharmacy experience and managed UFS Dispensary in Oamaru for two years before buying the pharmacy and naming it North Otago Dispensary in 2006.

North Otago Dispensary offers free Arthritis Clinics with the local North Otago Arthritis Educator on a regular basis.  Private consultations are booked by ringing the pharmacy and making an appiontment.  Helen is trained to sell the Emergency Contraceptive Pill and undertakes constant training to update her knowledge in all areas of customer health.  She is a member of the Pharmacy Guild and the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand.
